I have been acquainted with Josh Griswold for a couple years. It has been easy to see his passion for leading worship. I found it interesting that Josh not only wants to lead worship, but loves to try new things during worship. He is never content with the status quo. This led me to ask him to lead worship at my church. Then I got to see Josh come alive. Josh is well educated in music, which means he can work with the best trained musicians, but he is also experienced enough to lead amateur musicians in songs they might not know. Josh is very well-balanced and capable. The thing that sticks out to me most is Josh’s heart. He LOVES to lead groups in worship. He is truly passionate about corporate praise and wants all to be able to engage fully in worshiping God. Josh did a phenomenal job leading worship at my church, even under less than desirable conditions. With his experience, prowess, and passion Josh is going to do great things for the glory of God through his music.

Josh Griswold is a brilliant worship leader. His ability to arrange a music set around the theme of each service helps the congregation connect on multiple levels. He also has the ability to play different styles of music which enables him to combine traditional hymns with a contemporary sound that connects across all generations. Working with Josh is motivating to be the best at what one can do whether it’s preaching or setting up new events. Josh definitely fits the mold of a new church willing to push boundaries and express worship in fun and creative ways.

Josh has been an absoulte pleasure to play and work with. I play with many different worship leaders weekly and he is one of the most organized and creative. I admire his ability to not be above the congregation, but to be one of them. I believe he truly understands his role as a worship leader. His biblical knowledge and education is solid and well-balanced. He is a well-rounded musician and is wonderful at communicating. He understands each instrument on stage and knows how to communicate what he wants from each of them. He has passion in everything he does and it shows in his leadership and worship.
~Travis Montoya, Drummer
The point of a worship leader is not to rock the stage, or show off his musical talents, but to lead worship. I have come to appreciate Josh as one of my favorite worship leaders not because of his musical talents on guitar or in singing, which he has much of, but because he does his best to bring people to a state of worship through music. I truly love Josh’s way of bringing contemporary music to a congregation so that we can worship through the music. Just because he knows how to get out of the way to lead worship does not mean he is lazy at his approach of leading a band. I know when Josh is leading that the band will bring the highest quality of musicianship, not to wow the audience, but in order to present their best to God.
